A local production & manufacturing factory near Carlisle, are looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a Electrical/Mechanical Engineer. 
With 45 sites located across Europe, their products have a presence in more than 70 countries, you would play a pivotal role in this Global companys' success.

The focus of the role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to and to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
The working pattern is a continental shift plan, based on 12-hour shifts, which includes evenings and weekends.

Requirements:
· Ensure Health & Safety best practices are carried out in all work activities
· Assist with the development and implementation of Group Engineering standards for the business and ensure compliance at all times
· Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site
· React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue
· Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements to the management team
· Be able to communicate and cooperate with colleagues at all levels in order to achieve goals and maintain product quality
· Liaising with external suppliers and contractors

Qualifications:
· Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
· Experience of working within the Food & Drink sector
· Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
· Experience of fault finding with industrial machinery
· Experience of interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings
· Served a full engineering apprenticeship and/or qualification of NVQ level 3 or equivalent

Salary: £47,361 per annum

Rota: 12 hour shifts: 4x 0600-1800 then 3x rest days then 4x 1800-0600 then 5 rest days
